Practical Projects

A practical project gives a learner a reason to plan, ask questions and solve problems. The group could begin with something it wants to make, understand or improve, then agree on a project suited to the resources and support available. Mentors would help learners break the work into small steps, make appropriate choices and review what happens. The exact project would be chosen with the group, rather than promising a fixed activity or specialist equipment in advance.
